If Junior and his handlers really believed that Iraq had WMDs they would have been overjoyed to have the U.N. inspectors find them and guarentee widespread international support for the war and the rebuilding. Why the rush? Junior said it was because he was afraid of mushroom clouds in the next 45 days.

Clinton bombed every known or suspected weapons site in Iraq in 1998. That soon after the UN inspectors had been on the ground for years. It's entirely possible those bombing runs were very-very effective. When the inspectors went back in after Bush came into power, nothing was found. So Bushies manufactured any evidence they could, however weak or misleading. They misled congress, the UN and the American People. That is plainly true. They can argue so and so is "technically" true but the clear intent was to mislead and exaggerate. That's the real situation. And no spin the White House can put on it now can hide that fact. We'll see how high a steon wall Cheney can build around himself. I agree with Chris Matthews that it is Cheney that is in the center of the intentional deceptions.

Who were the political leaders who, according to critics of the
Iraq war, perpetrated this fraud on the American people by
making overblown warnings about Saddam's weapons of mass
destruction? Respectively, President Bill Clinton, Secretary of
State Madeleine Albright, Defense Secretary William Cohen,
National Security Adviser Sandy Berger, Sen. Tom Daschle and
Sen. John Kerry.

So your argument is that Bush and his gang are not villainous, but merely stupid instead?!
