Ah, the old debate strategy of taking a comment with a mild negative, debating it as if it's a much more serious negative, and then saying something like how in the world could you say that. The Bush short attention span is often remarked upon by friends and foes. As some friend recently remarked, he is puzzling uncurious, just wants an answer to a simply defined problem, then let's move on.

That's not terribly dangerous in and of itself. The genuine danger is that it's coupled with ideologically grounded advice. Deadly.

And then, of course, there is that other debate device, don't deal with an argument as argument, just label it as something and then attack the something, not the argument.

There is some possibility of a Kerry-Clark ticket next year.

For a guy so dumb, Bush sure is good at orchestrating complicated conspiracies.

LB,
I hope Joe Biden will replace this whole sorry bunch in one fell swoop. He comes at it as reasonable and privy to information and unwilling to engage in the character assasination of the president. The others appear as dolts. Did you see Lieberman cowtowing to Kwame Mfume suggesting that he should sit on the Supreme Court. Lieberman who i used to like is the biggest joke of all.
Of course i withdraw my prediction if the internet candidacy of Howard Dean continues to grow and fulfills a democratic party death wish. Personally I would rather see Biden and a good fair fight. Winning an election like that carries has more weight and prevents the winner from thinking he is special. Beating Howard Dean proves nothing. And of course if biden won, it would not be the end of the world. Bad hair or not, I have respected him for years. mike
