Usually the 'life of the flesh' is in reference to worldly things that present risks of harm to the eternal soul. Right? Yes that's true. I see what you mean now. The mind set on the things of "the flesh" as in fulfilling the desires of the flesh is a mind set on death. That's what Paul wrote. That's rough! But as far as a verse that pinpoints when the soul arrives I have not seen one. The ones I see seem to say the soul is there before the body. I need to look more.
