it is matter of upholding the human moral order If revenge and retribution is a cornerstone of your moral outlook than you are sick,sick, sick! No, if you want him to internalize the point The point you want them to internalize is the importance of their obligations, or homework, or whatnot. This is not done by retribution. It may come to pass that coertion or "grounding" become a tool in the lesson, but if it is done to exact revenge then the only lesson learned will be to lie more convincingly, sneak more stealthly, and wait for the proper moment to exact a new cycle of revenge.
