This was just brilliant. We see so much impotent anger on SI. Most of it is simply the result of people who are not doing anything concrete about advancing their understanding of the world (I do NOT mean that they are not dilligently finding more to support their own position- there is plenty of that- but people who are trying to understand the positions of others). I think these angry people are also unable to put things into context- which is why everything has such dire urgency. Some percentage of the population always thinks "This is the worst _______ ever..." and it leads to a certain franticness in their demeanor. I'm not aiming this at right or left- I see it on both sides. It appears to go hand in glove with extremity of position.
