Mike, I don't see why a Jew shouldn't be President of the USA. Except for Kissinger. Or Seinfeld. Or any wannabe opportunistic converts. Hey, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe and Sammy Davis Junior all converted. jewishminds.healthekids.net Google is so cool. I think Google should be President. Although Jews are superstitious and screwy in the head, thinking some spook thinks they are some sort of Chosen People, [a kind of Aryan Master Race], which, in this instance one of them would be, at least for a few years, I believe they should be treated as human, and have full human rights, including being President of the USA. Heck, some of my best friends are Jews. There might even be some Siers who are Jews and that's okay with me too. I suspect some of them are even in this foreign affairs discussion. So I hope nobody thinks I'm racist. The main test of whether a Jew should be El Presidente [excuse the gratuitous extra e, which is fashionable since Shakespear got all poncey] is whether s/he gets enough votes [and the Supreme Court gives approval]. If more than half of those who vote vote for them, they are ipso facto El Presidento [giving some support to Esperanto, which certainly needs support and would reduce the number of es]. Ipso facto is fancy latin from Shakespear's days meaning, "This is very intelligent and the bill will be high". Sort of like Casus Belli, which means "I am really angry and am going to attack them because I don't like them", but purports to have some intelligent meaning and legalistic basis. Mqurice PS: Now that I think of it, I recall about 5 years ago saying [in SI] that Irwin Jacobs, of QUALCOMM, should be President. He's a good bloke. Actually, I wasn't kidding about that. He seems to get on very well with everyone and has certainly done a great job of getting CDMA and mobile cyberspace going. My understanding is that he's Jewish [whatever the heck that means]. He probably needs another challenge. Ditch the politicians and get somebody with brains, honesty, character, good motives, good judgment and wisdom.
