Lizzie, now you can get yesterday's news, all for the bargain rate of just 5 bucks a month ..

WEBVAN FOUNDER TO TRY AGAIN

WASHINGTON (CBS.MW) -- Louis Borders is trying to keep his next Internet venture simple. With Webvan, the co-founder of Borders Books (BGP) burned through millions of dollars trying to do home grocery delivery. The more modestly-financed venture he is expected to launch Monday will deliver articles from newspapers and magazines online.

KeepMedia.com (http://www.keepmedia.com/) will offer a monthly $4.95 subscription to access a digital library from 140 magazines and a few newspapers. Stories from current issues will not be part of the monthly package, according to a description of the service by the Washington Post. But they will be available individually for a price of $1 to $3.

"A single monthly pass to get a wide variety of content from a bunch of quality, name-brand publishers is in principle a good idea," Michael Zimbalist, executive director of the Online Publishers Association told the Post.

lizzie, i don't think bill clinton was ideal. he was to govt finance what enron was to business finance.

he and alan greenspan rigged the productivity numbers and made them bogus and exaggerated. that gave everyone reason to "get stupid" and the bubble was on.

that policy is not sustainable and eventually we will crash. that process has begun, but we haven't seen anything yet, imho.

bill clinton is like the guy you love while you are drunk off his booze... but disappears when the inevitable hangover hits - and hurts.

we need someone who will...

1. not kill taxpayers of all levels.
2. will balance the budget (while the other side b*es about spending cuts).
3. will pay down the deficit.
4. will create a rainy day fund for future problems.

dean did this in vermont. the extremists don't want to give him any credit. now, it is a big leap to go from vermont to the usa. but at least he has a fiscal track record where everybody else just spends their way into oblivion - on both sides of the aisle.
