I like the networking sector here. I think that sector will rise again. They've experienced huge consolidation and now there aren't too many out there- extr, cien, fdry etc. thats it. Software has a lot of bargains but it is still bad out there. Software has more problems than just capex spending, there is a quality perception problem in the customer base. Networking a different story those guys just need demand to return. Notice sprint is building out a wifi network now.

I don't know what kind of photographer you are, but I am just getting around to buying a Canon EOS SLR digital for around $1100. The Canon EOS is a great one for amateur photographers, the autofocus is great. I took one to africa with me and a bunch of lenses, but that was an old one (non digital). It was about $450 5 years ago. All the pros in Africa had either Canons or Nikons. But Nikon is a big pain in the @ss if you ask me. Now if I buy the digital I can use my old lenses, the camera grows with you. I think a lot of borderline pros like Canon, they try to make difficult photography easy.

Greg ---

My wife "received" a nice new color printer (photo quality) this past year for Christmas. I believe it is a Cannon --- I really looked at the small HP printer, but we needed a new "desktop/system" printer for home. I was initially concerned the photos would not be good enough (remember grainy photos??); however, the Cannon factory rep at BestBuy reassured me and gave me a demo. When we got it hooked up, I was amazed at how well the prints are.

I would suggest you visit a nearby BestBuy and compare them.

I'll provide the model number in the next post.
