Then Bush used fear to get the American people to support his attack without the UN's approval.

As I said before, false. On two counts. 1441 affirmed prior resolutions, therefore we had their approval.

Brian, what's the problem......do you think that I was out for the country for the past year. The UN did not give its approval; the Bushies used prior approvals from 5-9 years earlier as their excuse for going ahead with the war. Besides, it was not the violation of 1441 that convinced the Amer. public to go to war. It was Bush's shocking statement in his State of the Union re. uranium purchases and then 8 days later, Powell's presentation to the UN where he guaranteed WMD were being made. All lies as it turns out.

The fact that some countries wanted to squirm out of things without actually coming out and saying it is immaterial.

Squirm out of what? The UN sent the inspectors back in......the only squirming that was done was by the US and the UK.

The second count, we know he had WMD. Nobody disputes that (maybe you). Perhaps he flushed them all down the Tigris. If so fine, but he didn't prove he did it, therefore he was in violation. Bush didn't lie to anybody.

Fine; then where are the WMD?
