I can give you a million reasons why a LOYAL opposition is essential when EITHER party becomes dominant. The Democrats' real threat to the republic is that they have let the cancer of the Marxist/Leninist anti-American enemy take over the core of their party, and it is doing the only thing that cancers do. I guess what they can't face is that-in the Founder's hoped for world-this just happens to be an era where a Dick Gephardt would get their nomination, take his lumps (about 40 % of the total vote and 15 or 20 states), and the party would move on and rebuild. The passionate America-haters are in denial of that reality of our complex politics. And they are more than willing to take the Democrat party to Hell with them. That's how totalitarians ALWAYS go out, snatching and grabbing at their infected host, hoping that its destruction will at least leave them SOME pitiful historical footprint...
