The resulting "news" ends up being pure hog wash that would make Jason Blair proud. story.news.yahoo.com On another note, I was visiting with some friends yesterday evening, and was amazed at how happy they were that Saddam's sons were murdered and that the attacks on US troops will finally cease. These are otherwise highly intelligent people who are capable of thinking if they get in the mood to do so. The truly amazing part is two out of three of them are NRA fans with more than a passing familiarity with the Second Amendment. There isn't a doubt in my mind that if someone invaded the US, killed their families, destroyed their homes, cut off their power and water, murdered their friends, and then took over the government, everyone of those guys would be sitting behind a rock looking for pay back. And although these guys are bent more toward the Republican side, I'm positive there attitudes wouldn't change if someone killed Clinton's kids. How is it that the TV news media is able to so completely short circuit peoples' ability to think and reason while propaganda is programmed into their pointed little heads? The Iraqis are fighting back the only way they can. Everything they hold dear in life has been destroyed, they have nothing left to lose, and the only thing they have to give their life meaning is revenge. I can only dimly imagine the raw hatred a person would feel under those circumstances. Only a halfwit or someone who has been brainwashed could possibly believe otherwise.
