Truths can be conveyed through literature, (even pulp) just as easily as through historical texts. The allusions used by the author of that book weren't intended as fiction.

Perhaps, as far as a Freemasonic plan to crown one of their own Pope goes, but artists indulging in a little meme-planting isn't a conspiracy...
