Working gas in storage was 2,032 Bcf as of Friday, July 25, 2003, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 83 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 502 Bcf less than last year at this time and 257 Bcf below the 5-year average of 2,289 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 143 Bcf below the 5-year average following net injections of 63 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 108 Bcf below the 5-year average of 680 Bcf after a net injection of 20 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 6 Bcf below the 5-year average after no net change. At 2,032 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
