I was there earlier then you and when we had no significant opposition at home. I came home while the war was still going on but opposition was growing. Watched in disgust as our brave men and women came home to jeers instead of cheers (I was on a college campus by then). I think your problem is you were there when the antiwar movement was so bad and probably even before you went you felt it was a lost cause. Compared to Nam, the casualties today in Iraq are a walk in the park, yet even so, the politicals are trying to make hay out of it. jdn
