You do not believe that calling someone stupid, a dunce, a pinhead, is abusive? Hmm, I believe you want to rethink a little here. Try going up to strangers on the street, and call them pinhead or stupid, and see what reaction you get. I believe most would call it abuse; not a few would knock you a good one in the mouth.

Thomas, Creedence Clearwater Revival used the term pinhead in their song, "Willy and the Poor Boys." I never knew what he meant for certain, but the context was that it was a coin of some sort.
