The government schools are geared to not teach too much. The reason being that an educated populace is harder to control and lead by the nose. Kids coming out of high school today have no clue. Gov schools give a view of history which is ridiculously vague. Schools now engage in social engineering instead of basics education. Teach "situational ethics" instead of moral values. Hand out condoms and will help you get an abortion. You will pass even if you really flunked. It's ridiculous but just how the ultra liberal NEA wants it.
