Since its inception, the Task Force's actions have helped to restore investor confidence through successful prosecution of corporate criminals and by providing investors with fair and accurate information they can trust. The task force's successes include: Obtaining over 250 corporate fraud convictions or guilty pleas, including 25 former CEOs; Filing 169 cases of corporate fraud crime against 354 defendants; Investigating over 320 cases, involving over 500 individuals or companies; Collecting over $85 million in fines, restitution, and forfeitures for corporate wrongdoing.
