Steve, you are very welcome! It is good to find articles on layoffs with potential solutions to help our neighbors get back or at least keep from losing their next jobs...Unfortunately, throughout history, it seems that many people do not care about what happens to their neighbors, until it directly effects them, and then it is usually too late! Have you heard of that old saying "when your neighbor loses his job it is a recession, but when you lose your job it is a depression"? We need to get involved with calling or visiting our state and federal representatives, especially our governor to let them know how these foreign visas not only negatively affect employment, but also state revenues and the viability of local businesses to stay in business, when their customers lose their good jobs, as all jobs are not the same! This thread is excellent for keeping track of how many layoffs at specific companies and other places of employment! :-)
