No problem. I think most people grow to love the place they live, and overlook it's shortcomings (like our traffic etc). Keeps us from going crazy moving around all the time.

Re: I'm a seventh generation Texan, so pardon me if I take offense at nasty things said about Texas!!

Ahem, you are a one generation Texan. Your forbears are six generations.

For you not to comprehend that there is a poisonous crew that have overwhelmed the basic decency of the people of old Mexico, the farming communities around New Braunfels, the bayou deluxe outside of Houston and the cattlemen of West Texas is bizarre.

If you were to take the slime that inhabits River Oaks and toss 'em into the sea, then you'd have a reason to be proud of Texas. As it stands now, you have more corruption, crooks and creeps per square yard of suburb in Poppy Bush's neighborhood than anywhere else in America.

Once you throw the bums out, then you can once again be proud of Texas. But as long as you tolerate the Bushes, the Lays, the Watsons, the Bakers, the Governor Good Hairs and the Saudis and all the other detritus and assorted scum that have come to call Texas home, you need to hang your head in shame.
