Hey, speak for yurself, I work here. -g- It's a tool and like most tools the productivity gains remain potential gains until someone actually uses it productively. Like their brains, most people use 2% of the potential locked up in a computer on their desk attached to the network. I use a computer to manufacture. I know what my outside limits were doing my job, processing images before what I do moved to a computer. The first five years going to the computer were a bust because you spend all this time just learning and fooling with the damned software and hardware. But technology stores productivity up as potential, the way a rock rolled up a hill has potential energy. Then it releases it all at once. The all at once point for me came when I started running batch processes to process images 1400 images at a time. Something that would have taken me days took minutes. Meanwhile, while the machine does the work of a hundred techs like me, I waste time answering your post. -g-
