Dang, just heard you broke your arm near your wrist. Ouch!!

I had my wrist smashed by a rank horse and got my watch and jacket off before they had to be cut off. The swelling made my wife sick so I drove to the hospital. Mid fingers to almost shoulder cast for 6 weeks.

1. Don't try to scratch any itches under the cast. Makes it worse. COLD. Buy frozen peas or corn, bags of ice. Cold stops the itch.

2. I had the big cast 6 weeks and was going to tell them to skip the smaller cast. Until they cut off the big one. Then I wanted the smaller fiberglass cast.

3. If your cast covers your fingers or palm, well when it's off your hand it will look like it belongs to the Creature From the Black Lagoon. Those ridges keep growing and don't get worn off. Shave your hand with a good knife, it doesn't hurt.
