Cheney calmly painted a thorough picture of how things were and how they are. That man is a political weapon all by hisself. The demos cannot find traction anywhere else so they have begun attacking each other. Clinton just snatched the rug from under all of their feet by telling them to support the war and look forward not back. I believe, without a disaster, the elections are a lock. We are going to see process in action and it will continue to be ugly or hilarious depending on your viewpoint. Know Your Enemy: • Carol Moseley-Braun, former ambassador to New Zealand and former U.S. senator from Illinois...The wrong female. • Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean...His major theme is support of gay marriage. That is not enough to be president. • U.S. Sen. John Edwards, of North Carolina...Wants to save the blue collar jobs but has done nothing to slow the loss of jobs in NC...his own state. Spends too much effort selling his autobiography. • U.S. Rep. Dick Gephardt, of Missouri...A nice guy but no way. Never happen. He always comes from a negative angle. • U.S. Sen. Bob Graham, of Florida...No ideas. His major campaign theme is to accuse GWB of secrecy everyday. • U.S. Sen. John Kerry, of Massachusetts...Too angry all the time...and much too wishy-washy. brags he has a gay campaign treasurer but is on record for opposing gays in the military. Threw his medals away at a peace demonstration and later claimed they belonged to someone else, then hung his medals in his senate office. "Ima nam vet" is not going to be a successful campaign theme for a pacifist. • U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, of Ohio...Who??? • U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman, of Connecticut..I like Joe. Excellent traits like honesty, intelligent, sense of humor and insightfullness. Probably the only one who is not full of himself. But he is tainted by loser Gore and so far the Demos are not smart enough to recognize his leadership potential. Joe has two 2nd place finishes...2nd to Gore and 2nd to Cheney. That is a lot of baggage. • The Rev. Al Sharpton, of New York...LOL The field is so boring the biggest issues on this thread are teacher's tenure and failing school systems. uw
