1 - Has the Iraqi oil been stolen?
I don't know.....do you?

There is no evidence that it has been stolen (except in the sense of Saddam using the oil revenue to build places and WMD instead of using for his people), and there is no reasonable cause to think that the US has now stolen the oil fields, do you maintain that we have?

There are varying degrees of theft. If American firms take over the running of those oil fields on exclusive contracts which seems to be the current pattern, then that's a form of stealing. Besides, what was Cheney doing reviewing Iraq's oil assets well before 9/11?

If not then there is no point in bringing up the accusation or implication. If yes I would ask you to support the assertion that we have stolen the oil/oil fields/ oil revenue.

Like I said, having your hand in the till anywhere along the process, that can be considered a form of stealing.

Our gov't is covert.......its not about to disclose to the world its full intentions. Therefore, you are dependent on the gov't actions and what were the decisions leading to those actions.

Huh? This doesn't seem to be an argument that is all about Iraqi oil, in fact it doesn't seem to be that coherent of a statement.

Again, what was Cheney doing reviewing Iraq's oil assets before 9/11? I don't remember a press release stating that Cheney was reviewing the oil assets of the world. Why is Cheney fighting tool and nail to disclose similar documents
that should be available under the Freedom of Info. Act? Our country has had a history of covert actions...Nicaraugua, Iran Contra Costa, providing WMD to Saddam etc. Sometimes the world has a clue; sometimes it doesn't.......but one thing is clear, the American public is usually the last to find out.

I suppose it could mean that when evaluating ideas about the plans and intentions of the government we have to examine its actions. If that's what you mean, then I would say the actions give little reason to think that we're in this to take control of oil.

Why do you ignore Cheney's past actions when it comes to oil? BTW what else does Cheney do with his time? Why do we hardly seem him? He's like a stealth VP!
