Plus, we'd been slowly raising taxes since GHWB's time. And with all the "massive" tax cuts of GWB, we're STILL not back to the tax environment Reagan blessed us with.

Not enough has been made of that FACT by way of explaining the recession and subsequent anemic growth rate.

The recession was a direct result of the bursting of the high tech bubble in the stock market, as well as too much consumer borrowing during the Clinton "boom".

Don't let the title fool you. It explains how technology has changed the world over the last century. I've seen all these effects but did not have the ability to express them so clearly.
