This is true. Many years ago I was a witness, in Vancouver, in a court case of a house burglary of a neighbour. I saw this black guy leave their backyard. I am white. Would you believe the defendant's lawyer said to me, after I had identified the defendant as the miscreant, "How can you be sure it was my client that you saw leaving the back yard?. It's a known fact that all black people look alike to white men". In reply I simply said, "I have just emigrated to Canada after living in Zambia for 3 years, where the blacks outnumbered the whites about 120 to 1. I am very used to seeing black faces." This says that lawyers should check out the backgrounds of witnesses before making such crass assumptions.
