Saudi Arabia has been staving off civil war and revolution for years. Many organizations exist in Europe and around the world with the agenda to over throw the Kingdom. In addition there is support for Al Quaida and Al Quaida types among some groups within Saudi. It is fairly underground and not state sanctioned. All of this kind of political turmoil is typical of Middle Eastern Dictatorships. We have good foriegn relations with the Saudi government as well as many Middle Eastern countries that are struggling politically. I don't see any particular reason for the US to single out the Saudi government and dismantle the good relations that we have with Saudi Arabia given the bigger picture.

Of course, the President's background in oil gives rise to concerns.

Only in the minds of the demospinners.

Really? When? What do you base that opinion on

you are correct, it is my opinion...and I base it on the fact that IF we can get Iraq stable, and Iran pushes towards a less radical stance, as it's people seem to be wanting, and THEY become more stable, and the dang environmentalists quit worrying about their view from their ocean front homes, and we can get our own drilling program on track...we will have a LOT more to say about how the Saudi's affect our lives. IMO.
