As for DeLay's ideas on the ME, they are too filled with ugly stereotypes to be called "ideas."

When I typed my response about DeLay, I wiped out "Hatred" and put in "dislike." That was obviously a mistake. I don't think of Jesse Jackson as a Democrat any more. He has dropped a long way from his populist days. He is now reduced to being a common blackmailer, making his living by extortion from Corporations. At his best he can still pull a black crowd. But so can OJ.

Here is the lead in the NYT right now. Looks like Bush and Delay are singing in the same choir.

>>>With Mr. Abbas standing by his side, Mr. Bush announced the creation of a Joint Palestine Economic Development Group, to be made up of American and Palestinian officials who will investigate ways to bring more jobs to the Palestinian economy

Mr. Bush, who reminded his audience that he recently approved a direct grant of $20 million to the Palestinian Authority, said Treasury Secretary John W. Snow and Commerce Secretary Donald L. Evans would travel to the Middle East in the fall to as part of his administration's quest for ways to build ``a solid economic foundation for a free and sovereign Palestinian state.''<<<
