The term "cover-up" in association with the Government or a Government official over the past few years has given it a connotation of deceiving the public in regards to wrong doing.

Of course you can use it in any context you like but given the tendancy for it to cause alarm in our society, a forthright person should clearly define the context when the term is being used in a non-typical way. Other wise I would have to conclude that it is being deliberately utilized to harm the confidence of society.

Until I see evidence to the contrary I trust my representatives to edit reports for accuracy, and content that is pertinent and useful. I see no evidence of a problem in this case. Just lots of partison positioning.
