Hi EP,

Question for board - in which countries in the world is the interior as prosperous as the coastal regions ?

Did you mean "board" or "bored"? <g>

Off the top of my head, coastal regions have always dominated the economies of the world simply because (dating back to before the ancient Egyptian civilization) the port cities represented the center of trade with other cultures.

The middle parts of the civilizations were largely agrarian, but only to the extent that the products were easily transportable to the major trade centers or centers of population.
