I believe you're right. I think with Bush we parted ways from Democratic free society. We're taking the first steps towards something else. Many can't see it yet because it's just the first steps. There are hundreds of anti-freedom unconstitutional laws and executive orders that are not being enforced yet. When they are people will wonder what happened like they have been blind sided. Dummies all! It's just the beginning with the Dept of Homeland Security. Wait until every person in the country has to register in their biometric national ID database, even your little 1 year old. It's the only thing going that I've seen that seems to fulfill the prophecy in the book of Revelation of the mark of the beast. Because when money fails we will go to a cashless system of finances. And your biometric ID will already be ready to go in a new system where you access your bank accounts and buy using your biometric signature. it will be linked to the banks, stores, everywhere. Every business will have a scanner. Everything you buy will show where you are at that moment to TIA, Total Information Awareness. The saints that are not deceived will have it rough for a while because they will not be a part of this system. But the fake christians like some on this thread will be. And happy as clams as long as there's a republican in the White House. They are the chaff.
