I cannot tell you how many times I've done that (g)
Not been able to take a small or manageable loss in the futs, only to take a much larger one when I can no longer stand the pain. LOL...That comment really hit home, as I'm always comparing my losses to the cost of another trip to Europe...

Finally learning to just take the small losses and get the hell out of the way when it turns against me, and that took years to do.

What finally did it was the realization that a small loss can be made back quickly, but those big ones can take days. Or weeks if the bad trade affects your trading emotions on future trades.

The "I gotta get it back" mentality will kill ya, you have to forget the losses and move on.
