Compared to what? Saddam? I'm sure it's bliss, in comparison.

Terrorists target civilians to create terror and get their own way. I do not believe that US troops target civilians. A good many have died in the fighting, true, but fewer than in other historical contexts (WWII, Korea, Vietnam).

No, I don't agree with some of the Bush policies, and vehemently disagree that finding WMD is not key. But, I would not call them terrorists.

In all fairness I have to say that we really don't know what the situation was when that picture was taken. I don't know that I can trust a story that came from the extreme left without supporting evidence any more than I can trust the stories from the extreme right. They have an agenda just as the extreme right does. And I have to think they would stretch the truth also. Not every website is based on sterling principles. From looking at the picture it could be that the soldier is taking the cuffs off. That seems more likely to me. I'd have to hear the military side of the story first. And give the foot soldier the benefit of a doubt because they are just trying to stay alive until they can get home.
