"know that Bush is serious about fighting terrorists and terrorist states that mean America harm"

The issue is not whether he is serious; we know he is deadly serious. The issue is, does he have the vision and the plan to get it done?

Bin Laden's plan was to unite the Muslim world against the US. How best to do so than to first isolate the US from nearly all its allies, then have us embroiled in a US vs THEM war in Iraq? Bush is playing into bin Laden's hands, unless he gets back on track with making terrorism a global, worldwide fight with many nations and the UN on our side.

Westi, do you have a link for that. It's mostly very good.

but.

"Is it reasonable to criticize aspects of the Bush administration's foreign policy? Sure. The initial failures in planning for postwar Iraq, the incoherence of its North Korea policy, the failure adequately to increase defense spending or reform our intelligence agencies...on all of these, and other issues as well, the administration could use constructive, even sharp, criticism. But that we were safer and more secure four years ago?"

I have no problem with Kristols ""Is it reasonable to criticize aspects of the Bush administration's foreign policy?" But the examples he pics are clear cues of idiot identification.

But all the examples he uses shows if he believes what he said he is an idiot in understanding the complex task of building and doing. I've often seen this stupidity in Kristol. But for a total technology, systems and process ignoramus he often see thed abject stupidity of dems.
