If Mr. Bush never expected any help from NATO allies then why did he bother asking any of them ?

Because we try to get everybody to see the light. Even when we know that some won't. The collapse of the Soviet Union has changed outlooks.

BTW, In addition to the Canadians that refused to help destroy the Third Reich, the Republic of Ireland would not lift a hand. Although a lot of Irish went to England and fought against Hitler. Ireland's refusal to allow Churchill ports in Ireland almost cost the Brits the Battle of the Atlantic.

I knew when I read your condescending post about what we had to do to meet your standards for helping us that you did not mean it. Like many Canadians, you are perfectly happy to piggyback on our efforts to wipe out Terrorism and cause a sea change in ME autocracies.

Your Intel and Police know how serious the problem is and are helping. Some Canadians who post here are also aware of the extent of the problem and are ashamed of the attitude of their Government.

But I have got used to seeing post after post here from Canadians who think like you.
