No, I'm on record on this thread that presidents have almost nothing to do with the economy (long or short term). Congress does, but only to the extent the president proposes, fights for, or vetoes legislation, does he have an effect.

Clinton had little effect on the economy. Other than fighting for tax cuts, Bush has had no direct effect on the economy. And Bush 41 had little effect.

It is about economic cycles more than any one thing.
