To which I replied, "Did you know the US was bankrupt back in March, eh?" "Huh?" he said. This war is sinking us deeper into the abyss and diverts our desperately needed attention to the economic crisis we face, and our children face, that will bury our grandchildren. But what the heck. We're getting tax rebates now, so let's party and be merry today and forget about tomorrow.
