<recent polling data out of Malaysia that was truly scary> Whatever Muslim nation you look at, the polls say very scary things. It is an amazingly widespread, deep distrust of America. What Americans as a whole fail to understand, is that there is no hope, not at all, of winning this War (on Terror, or Islamism, or whatever), unless we turn this around. We will never end recruitment, funding, propaganda, organizing for Al Queda and similar organizations, as long as 85-95% of Muslims think our goals are to convert them to Seculars (or Christians), prop up Israel, and steal their oil. It makes it really hard to convince Muslims, of our benevolent intentions, when we've got Christian Zionists like Senator DeLay, in Israel, telling Sharon that God doesn't want a Palestinian State.
