Nixon was impeached. He was a crook. Presidents can turn out to be crooks. It isn't pretty. But sometimes it is necessary to expose wrongdoing. It certainly was not necessary to impeach Clinton -- he did something morally wrong and was hunted down by a pack of dogs. But he was not a crook. Now we have Bush -- it is not clear whether or not he has followed in Nixon's shoes. I hope the "system" works and we learn the truth sooner rather than later.
