Got to agree, that the Arabs are not really paying attention. The efforts so far, at liberalism and dismantling the support system for terror, amount to tokenism. The Kuwaitis setting up a toothless parliament, the Saudis setting up commissions to study the future possibility of letting women drive cars. This stuff is essentially meaningless, it falls so far short of what is needed.

The NeoCons have the right idea, that:
1. We can't be safe until They change.
2. They won't change unless pushed.
3. America is the only nation who can do the pushing.

Problem is, a military Push, is (imo) going to be counter-productive. The Intifada is the model here; more of a cautionary tale.

We've got to get tough with Saudi Arabia. They have been systematically funding the Islamic Counter-Reformation. The Spanish in the 16th Century used New World silver to fund a Catholic Jihad, spreading the Inquisition everywhere they could, making Permanent War on Protestants, Jews, and Muslims. Today, Saudi Arabia is doing the same thing, with their oil money. They are the "belly of the beast", and, almost 2 years into the war, we haven't touched them.
