Yiwu, China joined wto.org the WTO on Mike Moore's watch. wto.org You can read his excellent rants here: wto.org

I'm sure he was pleased to help write China's history.

Meanwhile, on coal vs oil and the greenhouse effect. Using oil instead of coal doesn't reduce CO2 emissions. Well, it does slightly in that digging for coal takes more energy that pumping more oil from easy reservoirs in Iraq, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere.

The reason they are switching to oil is that it's cheaper, they have mountains of foreign exchange and it can be handled easier. Oil isn't even cleaner these days, with flue gas desulphurisation and other pollution control measures.

China has discovered the joys of mutually writing China's history with the rest of the world instead of trying to do it all themselves like some kind of overpopulated hermit society.

I bet you are pleased that I'm here to explain all this to you!
