This kind of protection has been going on for years in illegal drugs. A DEA friend of mine says FBI more than once forced him to drop his investigations on known criminals importing tons of drugs, who then got away scott-free.

This time the protection was for a terrorism campaign against the American people.

The clincher is that these so-called "incompetent" agents who protected those terrorists WERE GIVEN RAISES AND BONUSES after allowing 3,000 Americans to be slaughtered. That's either merit pay for a job well done, or hush money, take your pick.
