It is a complicated matter. Personally, I think that he saved the country from a high degree of civil strife between the Hard Left and Hard Right, and that he was right to steer us towards alliance with Britain in WWII. It is hard to know how far to blame him for his economic policies, when there was a world wide credit collapse, and many countries did worse than the United States. Clearly, they didn't help much. But mostly I bring this up because it puts in perspective the nonsense about Bush.......
