We knew the British claim was wrong. Factually incorrect. And, moreover, the Brits still stand by that intelligence...

Well I don't know who we is that you are talking about. But your group of we is ignorant of the truth. The truth is public for any reasonable and rational person to find. There is also in the public domain many stupid people and liars who claim the same lie you claim. The informed honest we have no reason whatsoever to doubt the Brit's claim now and I see no case at all that suggests the President or any in the administration would think the British claim was wrong.
