HK CNOOC Makes Major Gas Discovery In South China Sea HONG KONG (Dow Jones)--China's largest offshore oil producer, CNOOC Ltd., Monday said it has made a natural gas discovery in the eastern South China Sea with reserves estimated to be around 1.5 trillion cubic feet. "It represents the first major natural gas discovery in the Pearl River mouth of South China Sea, which opens new exploration prospects in the area," President Zhou Shouwei said in a statement. sg.biz.yahoo.com
