So the recession was ending 10-1-2001 and even with the economic whack of 9-11-2001 the economy was growing. And the late call was because it seemed slow. hmmm..... 9-11 caused things in the economy to make the recovery look slow.

NOW is that a revelation or what.....

But consider the impact on the poor whacko loons over hiding in their mud huts. They failed to stop an increase in the US economy. They only slowed the increase.

But the EU and other places of socialist dumbness may not be fairing so well. Oh why do they all hate us. LOL....

Neocon,

I think that President Bush is lucky that the NBER called the end of the recession now. For his father, they waited till 2 months after the election, to declare that the recession had ended (a year and a half earlier).

The funny thing is, if you look at how the NBER determines a recession, the beginning of this past recession (beginning March 2001) should have been 3 or 4 months earlier. In fact, the NBER recognizes that economic numbers point to an earlier start date...they just don't want to revise it - yet.
