Maybe you missed a few turns here. We didn't surrender. We demanded that the Taliban turn OBL over. When they refused, we invaded Afghanistan and ended them as the gov't of that country. Unfortunately, the delay allowed OBL to slip away. But what what did happen is hardly surrender. Maybe you missed something there too: Remember the Northern Alliance? Muslims opposed to and fighting the Taliban that was protecting OBL? Are they guilty in this too?
