Glad to have made the move, however mixed feelings about trying to find peopless wilderness. I have definitely been spoiled by spending my previous summers back in the bush of British Columbia & the Yukon. I would still consider moving to the funky little town of Haines, AK if I had the $$$ for a second home there. Actually the weather there is warmer than here in Conifer (at 9,000’). And it is REALLY easy to get out in the bush there, plus there’s grizzlies there!<BG>

Other than that, I think I see a troubling future for many here. Housing prices are ridiculous, people are starting to find they can’t sell their newly bought homes for the same price they paid, foreclosures are ever increasing (and in the higher price range), starting to see big SUV’s parked in front yards with ‘For Sale’ signs. Being born & raised in Palm Beach County, FL, I’ve seen this scene before…and so it goes.
