Any links?
Substantive articles (other then Faux or Rush) supporting this premise?

Just the old Lindy A priori?
I think, therefor it is so.

The press always turns on the right at any opportunity...

The press has essentially given the Bush administration a free pass for 2 1/2 years now, rarely questioning decisions or digging deeper into official explanations.

Given its vital role in a democracy, I should think we are all better off now that the press has awakened and rediscovered its collective spine, even at the cost of us having to suffer some extra yammering.

The unexamined democracy is not worth having.
