CJ & NVE high grade nickel samples as
Drilling will start this weekend in Raglan
Look for some News and Excitment on some pretty big targets that have super high grade nickel & Platium
Falconbridge's nearby Raglan (Katiniq) mine is presently an important world source of Nickel, Palladium, Platinum, Cobalt, Osmium, and Copper. Some of Canada's most significant Palladium and Platinum values are from the Raglan Camp. Various samples from the Raglan camp area both on and off of Novawest's Assemblage submitted by Novawest to Chemex for analysis returned notable assays Palladium (Pd), Platinum (Pt), Nickel (Ni), Copper (Cu), Gold (Au) and Silver (Ag) such as 26.76 g/t Pd, 21.8 g/t Pd, 16.5 g/t Pd, 8.83 g/t Pd, 5.54 g/t Pd, 3.37 g/t Pd, 9.3 g/t Pt, 1.67 g/t Pt, 1.56 g/t Pt, 1.46 g/t Pt, 1.36 g/t Pt, 24.5 % Ni, 10.65 % Ni, 8.86 % Ni, 7.52 % Ni, 6.53 % Ni, 5.29 % Ni, 5.03 % Ni, 4.85 % Ni, 9.73 % Cu, 8.90 % Cu, 7.27 % Cu, 4.81 % Cu, 3.83 % Cu, 3.65 % Cu, 2.39 % Cu, 3.5 g/t Au and 26.7 g/t Ag.
Other values worth noting from the Raglan Camp are reported from a Falconbridge property next to Novawest's Raglan Assemblage where drilling on Falconbridge's D-8 and D-9 zones yielded values including 6.45 g/t Pd, 6.42 g/t Pd, 5.8 g/t Pd 3.9 g/t Pd, 2.7 g/t Pd, 5.48 g/t Pt and 2.26 g/t Pt, 7.50 % Ni, 7.41 % Ni, 6.98 % Ni, 6.82 % Ni, 6.2 % Ni, 6.09 % Ni, 5.79 % Ni, 5.47 % Ni, 3.18 % Cu, 2.44 % Cu, 2.19 % Cu, 1.92 % Cu, and 1.84 % Cu to note a few. It is understood that these holes were placed approximately 200-300 metres from Novawest's boundaries.
Early drilling by Cominco, in the immediate vicinity of Novawest's Raglan Assemblage between 1975-1980, intersected core assaying 8.22 % Ni, 6.82 % Ni, 5.80 % Ni, 4.84 % Ni, 4.40 % Ni, 2.70 % Cu, 2.21 % Cu, 2.12 % Cu, 1.53 % Cu and 1.0 % Cu, to name a few. Cominco never looked for Pt-Pd potential on their Raglan Property in the 70's but did carry out a few sporadic Pt-Pd assays. However, they intersected some 2.8 g/t Pt and 3.7 g/t Pd across some 23.1 feet in one hole. They reported some high values of Pt-Pd and Au associated with Ni-Cu sulphides that assayed 9.07 g/t Pt and 0.28 g/t Pd over 1.2 feet. In 1984, in a near by area not sampled by Cominco a Quebec Ministry of Resources team headed by Danielle Giovenazzo (currently with Falconbridge Limited) reported high Pt-Pd samples up to 4.25 g/t Pt and 14.17 g/t Pd scattered over a 500-metre wide ultramafic sill. The results were made public in a report presented in February-March 1986. In addition, in their 1986 report entitled Delta Project Falconbridge Limited likened of the Bravo Sills geology as similar to the Katiniq deposit which is now what is being mined at Falconbridge's Raglan Mine.
