BEIJING (AP) -- A team of Chinese and Australian architects has been picked to build a US$100 million swimming center for the 2008 Beijing Olympics with high-tech fabric walls made to look like bubbling water, state media and a games official said Tuesday.

Construction of the Watercube stadium is to begin later this year and is scheduled for completion by 2006, the state newspaper China Daily said.
